We got to spend time with Steve's family before Christmas. We enjoyed seeing everyone again. This year we played dirty Santa for the first time. I think it will be a start to a new tradition.
Sophie loves her PePaw. We all missed Nanny this year. Santa will never be the same without her. She is the reason why I have decided to "do" Santa with our children. It was up for debate for a while. Steve's mom played Santa until her last year on this earth. It brought her such joy and all of her children and grandchildren loved her for it. She never got Christmas presents or Santa, so it was important for her that she do it with her children. Steve has countless fond memories of Christmases with his mom, and for that we have much to celebrate, even when she has gone to glory.
