We had Sophie's Birthday party July 1st. She turned one on July 8th. It was beautiful to see our daughter celebrate such an important day in her little life. Only God knew that she would have a forever home by her 1st birthday. Notice Sophie's new bling bling. Her "Aunt Katie" had it engraved with her name. The birthday cake that I made is special as well. My Mama gave me a heart shaped baking pan to make Sophie's birthday cakes. My Mama almost always made my cake with that pan, and now I can pass that sweet tradition on to Sophie. Obviously she liked it.
